In this week's Lone Star Adventure FOX 4's Richard Ray takes us to Fort Worth and the Cowtown Segway Tours. The Segway is Certainly a novel way to see the sights. Participants glide on odd-looking, self-balancing electric powered two-wheeled contraptions that are surprisingly easy to master. Segways have been around for almost a decade but remain something of a novelty, eliciting stares and smiles and questions. Each tour begins with some training. Guides say most people learn how to use a Segway in about 15 minutes. Cowtown Segway tours generally begin in Fort Worth's Cultural District. Similar tours in Austin and Dallas stay on pavement and cement, but not Cowtown Segway Tours. One portion of the route takes riders on short off-roading adventure.
